Allison was born in Memphis, TN and pursued a degree in microbiology at the University of Tennessee. She quickly realized she did not have a passion for lab work and fell into a position as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where she has been working with children with autism from age 2 to 18 years old for 8 years. She enjoys teaching essential skills, including functional communication and is highly trained in the building of AAC device skills. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Behavioral Psychology. Additionally, she has been working as a mental health case manager since 2022, where she assists families in finding resolutions to current challenges, connecting them with needed resources, while providing a kind and safe space. Across the mental and behavioral health fields, she finds herself gravitating towards utilizing her knowledge of the Spanish language to ensure the Hispanic population—a widely underserved community—are educated regarding the importance of mental health and the resources available to them.
